Venice, LA Inshore Fishing Charters
Inshore Charter Fishing At Its Finest
Southern Delta Charters is an inshore charter fishing service based out of Venice, La that was established for the sole purpose of sharing my love and passion of the outdoors with as many people as possible.
You can expect to get the full experience of what the southern delta has to offer. From the beautiful delta sunrise to the observation of the abundant local wildlife, not to mention the endless number of species of fish that the delta houses.

Three fish that live in the marsh
Redfish, speckled trout and flounder are all inshore fish, and each one uses the estuary a little differently.
Redfish are an inshore schooling fish that live in estuaries and along barrier islands. The young ones hold over grass beds and muddy and sandy bottoms, and they feed mainly on blue crab, shrimp and small fish.
Speckled trout spend spring and summer in shallow bays and estuaries with oyster beds or grass beds, then move to deeper water when it starts to cool around mid-October.
Flounder like a muddy bottom inside an estuary, where they lie flat and wait for shrimp and small fish to come past. In Louisiana they are found from 100 miles up the Mississippi River all the way out to the Gulf.
Before we leave the dock
“I say a prayer with my clients every morning before we leave the dock. We give all the praise and glory to God at Southern Delta Charters.”

How many people, and can kids come?
We can take up to 5 clients per boat but recommend staying 4 or less per boat. We can line up as many boats as you need depending on availability of captains.
Yes we love bringing kids fishing, I would recommend a minimum age of 6.
We recommend scheduling a year in advance especially for large groups.
