Meet Captain Kasye

My name is Kasye Bourn. I am the owner and operator of Southern Delta Charters. I grew up in a family of commercial fishermen and was raised on the water. When I graduated high school, I started my own commercial crabbing operation which I ran for several years. Even though I was very successful with crabbing, I always felt that it was not what I was born to do.

So, I made the decision to get my captain's license. Then, I started a charter fishing business so that I could share my love and passion for the outdoors with as many people as I possibly could. I am an avid outdoors man. I love to hunt, fish, and being on the water. I truly enjoy making people happy through my extensive knowledge of the outdoors and I look forward to sharing a rewarding outdoor experience with all of you.

Record redfish haul leads to IWFA win

That was the Louisiana Sportsman headline in June 2016, after the International Women's Fishing Association Venice Slam.

Two anglers fishing the Mississippi River Delta with Captain Kasye each caught and released 25 bull reds and 25 slot reds. The magazine reported that it was more points in one day than had ever been recorded in the tournament.

“It was unbelievable day by any standards,” he told the magazine. “It was definitely unbelievable to do what we did, especially with 12-pound test.”
